You won't admit you love me
And so how am I ever to know?
You always tell me
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
A million times I've asked you,
And then I ask you over again
You only answer
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
If you can't make your mind up
We'll never get started
And I don't wanna wind up
Being parted, broken-hearted
So if you really love me
Say yes, but if you don't dear, confess
And please don't tell me
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
If you can't make your mind up
We'll never get started
And I don't wanna wind up
Being parted, broken-hearted
So if you really love me
Say yes, but if you don't dear, confess
And please don't tell me
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
Perhaps, perhaps, (giggle) perhaps~~

I was commenting a blog when the idea came across my mind; something related to this song :Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps by Doris Day - ahh, I love classic songs. It was then infamoused by Cake and PCD and so on. The idea was about uncertainty in love, the reluctant feeling to say 'YES' to a commitment.
Back in my secondary school days, I used to like this 1 girl named F******h but lets call her Miss F and the way we met was kinda funny. It all started with a gossip from friends, saying that Miss F said that I'm cute. Flattered, I met her and we contacted each other ever since. This happened in 2002 when I was in Form 1.
The not-so platonic relationship went on for years and we even had arguments some times even though we were not officially a couple; or as so they called at that time: "Declare". Deep inside, I knew that I 'love' her but the uncertainty, plus people saying bad things about her in front of me, making me sick. She was not a bad girl, I knew that at that time. She just acts a little bit differently, up until now.
In 2005, she opted out from KUS*** (school name) and I did not even confess to her, making people to talk. Yeah, they can talk all they want but only after that, in 2006, I learned that there's a saying around students that sounds like this:
"Kalau dah suka, declare aje, jangan sampai jadi macam ARC dengan Miss F. Masing-masing suka tapi tak nak mengaku."
Yes, my loss but I've never lost in touch with Miss F. We are good friends now, and our relationship is completely platonic. Regular YMs and SMS. Note that I've found another girl soon after that but the relationship did not work well.
I'm not saying that you should rush things up. Just keep it cool, think carefully about the consequences of having a relationship, especially in school level and manage your time efficiently. Be good both physically (to keep up with the SPM syllabus) and psychologically ( to handle relationship-derived problems).
IF YOU DONT THINK YOU CAN HANDLE THIS KIND OF THING OR YOU ARE JUST MESSING AROUND, DO NOT GET INTO RELATIONSHIP!!;
and even if you are damn sure that she is the only one for you and you can already see where both of you are heading to in the next 15 years, fine. Say yes. Do not wait for so long and if you intend to do so, sort things out with your 'special friends' so they won't suffer.Have a decent conversation.
The choice is yours.
